Physical Description
Geija (part of Miao Minority unti 1993) Matang Village, Kaili Area, Guizhou Province 1995. Baby carrier (no straps) with densely worked geometric design in two hues of red, surrounded by white and blue fabric strips. The design is enclosed in hand-woven, polychrome braids. Stitches used are chain stitch, satin stitch and a form of buttonhole.
