Physical Description
Young woman's festival apron from the Miao (known as Cock Feather Miao) Ping Gia Village, Sandue County, Guizhou Province, China. Diamond shaped apron with central square bordered by two rectangular panels and two narrow stylized floral strips. Green satin background with formal design of dragon, cocks and butterflies. Design embroidered in polychrome floss silk over paper patterns, using satin stitches, buttonhole and herringbone.
