Physical Description
Miao baby carrier (no straps) from Shidong, Huangping County, Guizhou Province in China. Indigo dyed fabric, covered with strips of red embroidery. Silk thread, mainly counted satin stitch in geometric design with chain stitch outlines. Polychrome threads include red, purple, deep blue with touches of green and white. Design includes narrow braids and ribbons.
