Physical Description
Commemorative Royal Birth Sampler. Cream linen embroidered with heraldic animals and Commonwealth floral emblems. Central panel includes nominal inscription, commemorating the birth of HRH Prince Charles, 14 November 1948. Embroidered verse by Patience Strong and image of Buckingham Palace. Polychrome in stem, chain and buttonhole stitches.
