Physical Description

Navy blue satin pantaloons from Sindh in Pakistan. The very full upper leg is embroidered with small symmetrical spots in red silk. The lower leg is embroidered with elaborate symbolic patterns, including lavish use of tiny shisha. Stitches include various forms of chain stitch, straight stitch and buttonhole in colours of navy, ochre, red and white, Pantaloons are constructed by hand.
