Physical Description
A large bookmark embroidered on Bristol board and mounted on a purple silk ribbon. The Bristol board has an elaborate, decorative border and a picture of children who it seems are about to be beaten by a woman with a stick. The bookmark is embroidered in purple with a cross stitch motto "Teach us thy way O Lord" and the initials "EST".The size of the bookmark suggests that it was possibly for use in a bible.
