Physical Description
A long, double-breasted waistcoat fastened with nine handmade covered buttons with buttonholes. Three extra decorative buttons angled at each side to emphasise the reveres. The waistcoat front is made of natural-coloured fine linen fabric woven with a raised self stripe and is lined wiith plain linen. The back of the garment is made of a coarser linen with adjustable ties made with the rough selvedge. The edges of the front of the garment and the pockets are embroidered with chain stitch in silver thread in a design of straight and wavy lines emphasised with miniature sequins. Additional floral motif on pocket. Buttonholes also embroidered.
