Physical Description
Chinese belt purse. "Da Lian - Over-the-belt purse" comprising two purse sections mounted on opposite sides of a single backing. Purse sections are embroidered in traditional counted thread design in blue, white, gold and black silk. Each pocket is trimmed with narrow braids, black and black/white herringbone design. Eighteenth or nineteenth century. Worn by men.
