Physical Description
From North West India, a woman's backless embroidered tribal garment known as a 'kanchali' (choli). Front of sleeves and top of bodice tie-dyed burgundy silk with heavily gathered front. Remainder of bodice is constructed of embroidered polychrome panels. Shisha and buttons have been used as decoration. Stitches include broad chain and needleweaving
