Physical Description
Child's hat or crown of black velvet with six multicoloured appliqué embroidered motifs - four flowers a butterfly (joy) and a cricket (courage). Additional decorations are two bobbles on springs attached to front butterfly. At the back are two round padded bases supporting multicoloured beaded tassels. Crown and motifs are outlined with narrow gold couched thread. Stitches are mainly satin and couching.
