Physical Description
Black sateen shelf valance with black cotton backing. The design is of four pink flowers with yellow centres made of wired chenille and applied. Leaves and stems and embroidered in brown and green chenille. The scalloped edge is edged with black lace embroidered with gold chenille thread. This type of chenille thread was known as 'Arrasene'. A tag is attached to the back 'M Ashby, Prospect'.
