Physical Description

Long black sash with red and white embroidery, a fringe at one end. Small red pom poms also embellish each end. Red and white and multicoloured surface stitchery with cotton thread on a black cotton ground fabric. Stitches include chain stitch and back stitch. Curvilinear design of rams horns which are traditional motifs and some red wool pompoms have been applied. There are applied bands; some with embroidered designs of four pointed stars and the ram's horn design, some of reverse appliqué in a red, black and white geometric design and one repeating the ram's horn design. Narrow multicoloured layered bands of cotton fabric have also been added at each end.
