Physical Description
Pale yellow polyester and cotton mix cloth hemmed by machine. The trefoil symbol of the Girl Guides is appliquéd in the centre using golden yellow and royal blue cotton twill-weave fabric.The appliqué is stitched by machine. All of the names are back stitched with royal blue single stranded thread. "1st Bordertown" is stitched at the bottom of the cloth. Brownies and names of the leaders are stitched in the same manner. They include "Kanga" (Assistant Guider), Jill Buick, "Skippy" (Brownie Leader), Marijke Krop, "Kiwi" (Brownie Assistant Leader) and "Captain Phyllis", the Guide Captain. The names of the 1st Bordertown Girl Guides are placed randomly over the cloth.
