Physical Description
A Vietnamese robe of black indigo-dyed fabric. Bands of cross stitch embroidery on either side of the front opening are edged with blue and white glass beads and small tufts of red. The long sleeves have wide cuffs of strips of coloured fabric and rows of counted stitch embroidery. Two long ties are edged all around with fabric strips with the ends embroidered in red and blue cross and counted stitches. There is a small panel applied at the centre back worked in cross and counted stitches. A wide panel consisting of two pieces joined vertically edged with strips of coloured fabric and embroidered allover in cross and counted stitches is attached to the lower back edge.
