Physical Description

Crepe de chine apricot petticoat (a) with matching pants (b) and a long nightgown (c) completely hand stitched and embroidered. The embroidery consists of stylised pairs of flowers and single flowers, all with leaves, stitched over doubled cream tulle. When the embroidery was finished, the tulle was carefully cut away from behind the flowers so as not to show on the wrong side. The flowers and leaves are outlined in padded satin stitch and the flower centres are clusters of five eyelets.
