Physical Description
Supper cloth of fine cream linen. A square cloth with an edge of wide scallops stitched with a line of buttonhole eyelets with needlelace bars and picots. Embroidery in three shades of beige. A large central square worked in drawn thread work, surrounded by a design of stylised flowers within a square border. Stitches - padded buttonhole stitch for narrow and wide outlines, padded satin stitch for the dots, feather stitch for the central veins, massed French knots for the solid flower centres.
